What I'm Loving Now from Books to Drinks!

It's already spring time in Hong Kong and it's bringing a pretty nice environment everywhere I go this weekend. We are experiencing cooler days and warmer evenings. I am a self-proclaimed city woman and I truly appreciate the colors spring time is bringing in this fast-paced city I am living in.

In this blog post, I would like to share stuff I am currently crazy about. Let me start with the books I recently got. Here are two books I borrowed from the library.

Big Breasts and Wide Hips
Written by Mo Yan, a nobel prize-awarded author

Poirot - The Perfect Murders by Agatha Christie
I have read two of stories inside and Agatha Christie never fails to impress me. She's the best for a reason.

Then, here are the books I recently purchased. (Remember, there's no such thing as too many books!)

The 100-year-old Man Who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared by Jonas Jonnason
I purchased this wonderful book from the second hand bookstore in front of our office building.

Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn
The movie, Gone Girl was mind blowing and so I am now an avid fan of Gillian :P

When I saw this notebook in Bookazine, it was love at first sight! I just had the need to purchase it!

Brought this at Bookazine when I was feeling super stressed from work. Oh Shopping, such a good therapy!
I can't imagine reading or writing without having something to drink. I strongly recommend these two. I do not normally spend so much on drinks so having these two as company really helps.

The best coffee I have ever tasted came from Malaysia. I swear after you get to taste the Old Town White Coffee Hazelnut flavor, you're going to say goodbye to Nescafe. Haha! (sorry!)

What can be more convenient than having to make your milk tea at the comfort of your home?
I also would like to share what I am currently writing. I have finally get to start writing mystery novel and so far, I only have the first chapter published on Wattpad. Remember Building 325, the first mystery novel I have written in Filipino four years ago? I am getting lots of feedback telling me to update it, to continue and write more parts of it. Here I am, after four years I am feeling motivated!

I am going to post a synopsis about this new novel soon! Just click the link above to read the first chapter, I would really appreciate your feedback on this.

I am now ending this post, I hope you're enjoying the rest of the weekend as I am! :) Let me leave you this picture quote from For Reading Addicts facebook page.

About Me

My photo

I love traveling and being immersed with different cultures. It has cultivated my love for learning and has exposed me to different perspectives. I'm a travel specialist during the day, while writing has always been my first love (considering my love of books, of course). I am an editor of Lapis sa Kalye (Hindi ito ang normal mong nababasa)**a Facebook page which promotes Philippine Literature, one of the writers of the published book - **PENDULUM. I was also the Editor in Chief of our online magazine which published free literary works. I also post my works in Wattpad reaching more than 70k reads.

And when I need a real breather, I take pictures and edit them. I'm still developing my style in this area, I don't usually follow Photography rules, I just try to have fun along the way.
