Dear Diary: Cold but happy December

I can't believe I'm only updating this blog once a month, my New Year's Resolution shall definitely include: Blog more often! The truth is, it has been a very busy month not only at work, but also ito the Lapis sa Kalye page and my personal stuff.

I am still waking up at 5 am to prepare for my husband's breakfast and lunch. You know a guy needs a strong woman who will support him 100% along the way. I don't want to be blamed one day that I have not been a good wife. Besides, he sure deserved everything that I do. He is a very responsible husband and marriage works when you give and take.

As for my writing stuff in Lapis sa Kalye, one good news I have for this month is that, our third online magazine is out! You may view our magazine here: Lapis sa Kalye Dec 2014 issue. It has tons of updates and stories about the page. For those of you who are new to my blog, Lapis sa Kalye, a Facebook page started 4 years ago is a sanctuary where we post poems, short stories, essays, videos that promotes Philippine Literature. We are proud of the page that reached 2,500 likes already. We are continuously working, putting a lot of effort into it to improve and to reach more readers.

We also have a Short story writing contest! Here are the mechanics:

5. Disyembre 26-31, 2014 ang pag papalike ng mga entries.

Criteria :
30% originality.
30% impact.
20% way of writing.
10% likes.
10% spelling and grammar.

1st place : 1,000 pesos cash.
2nd place : 500 pesos worth of book (winner's choice)
3rd place: 300 pesos worth of book (winner's choice)

So yeah, a lot of things to look forward to this coming January.  :)

Also, I have received an envelope with my grade in Marketing... (drumroll)... I got an C+. It's better than F, and I am not ashamed of it. But I feel bad for all the hours I have spent for this subject, yet I only got a C. Of course, I can do better, but that's what you get when you try to delay an exam, and you did not go to that last lecture where they will mention what will be coming out for the exam.

Moving on, temperature is now dropping here in Hong Kong, nights are freezing. Let me leave you with some feel good photos before I signed off!
